Happy to share that the title poem from one of my earlier collections, “Grandmother’s Milk,” (Singular Speech Press,1995; now o/p) appears in the September issue of *Verse-Virtual*:
All the September poems selected by our hard-working editor Firestone Feinberg are great! And he does it every month! Thanks, Firestone!
Meanwhile, if you’d like to see the cover of *Grandmother’s Milk* and sample some other poems in this collection, you can go to my website’s publication page, link below, and scroll down six books.
I’m happy to share that “A Fixed Point,” a poem from my most recent collection, The Resonance Around Us, has been published in the Summer 2016 issue of Snapdragon Journal. I wrote the poem while in residence at VCCA in January 2011.
Thanks to Firestone Feinberg and Verse-Virtual for selecting my poem “Two Children on the Seaside Rocks” for the June issue. It’s based on an oil painting by my great-great-grandfather, Jonathan Bradley Morse (my mother’s great-grandfather on her father’s side), which hangs on the wall in my study above my computer. I think it was painted at Cape Ann, Gloucester, Massachusetts where he and my g-g-grandmother, Eleanor Ecob Morse, went to paint every summer. They were both well-known painters in the mid-to-late 1800s.
When I learn better how to take a photo w/ my new tablet and post it, I may update this post with a photo of the painting. Meanwhile, here’s the link:
I’m delighted to announce that my poem “Some Nights” appears in the anthology Earth & Eros, edited by Lorraine Anderson with photographs by Bruce Hodge. (White Cloud Press, Ashland, Oregon). And I’m honored to be among the other poets in this beautiful collection! Thanks to Lorraine Anderson, Editor, for selecting my work!
Happy to share that my poem “Measuring the Distance” (title poem of my new collection) appears in the most recent issue of The Quotable. Many fine poems here; enjoy the issue!
I’m so pleased to share that three of my poems: “The Fox-Collared Coat,” “The Solitary Birch,” and “Watersheds” appear in the current print issue of Adanna Literary Journal: http://adannajournal.blogspot.com/.
